MISSION
Provide funding for quality respite care and resources for families of special needs children in metro Atlanta
HISTORY
Founder Stacy Georges holds a B. A. in Therapeutic Recreation from Purdue University. Stacy and her husband Tom are the proud parents of two successful adults. They know the struggle of getting the most out of our public education program for Children that need accommodations.
Since 2017 Stacy has been growing Special Needs Respite with the goal to serve the 7,100 families that have been waiting for State funding for Respite care. The foundation and processes are in place now. For us to meet the need, we need introductions to private businesses that are willing to make an investment in making social change, by giving parents hope. Parents tell us "Knowing that I can get a break for rest, helps me make it through another day." Research bears out that parents raising children with special needs are 80% more likely to divorce. They are prone to physical and mental health issues. These parents face, isolation, depression, and despair. We can make a difference.
